A Story link sticker is tappable. Any account can add one. A pinned comment sits under a Reel and is often plain text. People confuse the two because both can mention a brand. Only one of them is a click.
This is the direct-response unit. The viewer is already full-screen. One tap opens your page. Give every creator a unique URL and a code so the tap and the order are theirs.
Stories disappear in 24 hours. That is a feature for a test and a bug if you wanted an asset. Screenshot the frame. Do not expect the Story to keep selling in week three.
The pin lasts as long as the Reel does. People who open comments see it first. It is a cheap way to leave a code where the video still gets plays.
It is a bad campaign by itself. You cannot tell Instagram to count “pin impressions.” Many viewers never open comments. A pin with no Story is a footnote.
Default offer: Story + link, and a pin on the Reel they were already posting, same code. The Story is what you measure this week. The pin is the leftover for people who find the Reel later.
Upsell: a short spoken mention inside that Reel, still their words, still labelled as an ad. Do not buy a reshare of your own brand video and call it distribution. Their followers often never see it. Ads Manager can boost a Reel more honestly than a dump-repost.
